The User Group Committee would like to thank Centura Health for providing the location and to MHC for sponsoring breakfast and lunch for our User Group Meeting. We want to say a special thanks to Denver Public Schools, Intellias, Lawson, MHC and netASPx for presenting and being involved with the Rocky Mountain Lawson User Group meeting. Krista Struve with Lawson Software gave the group a Lawson Update and showed us a Lawson video. The Lawson video showcased their new President and CEO Harry Debes. He gave an overview of the merger between Lawson and Intentia. The merger was announced by Lawson in June of 2005. He stated that the new company will operate under the name Lawson software in the U.S. and still be headquartered in St.Paul, Minesota. The new merger will create a new company with more than 3,500 employees and approximately 4,000 customers in 40 countries. For more information please go to www.lawson.com. Dean Hager was also on the video talking about Quality of Product. There were only five priority-one problems in the fifteen months since the 8.1 release. He also discussed Other Lawson products, Lawson’s Business Intelligence, Lawson 8.1 Technology, Resource Management, Training and Client Discussion Forum. Sherry Diedrich with MHC gave an overview of MHC’s Image Express product. Their product enables organizations the ability to convert their paper documents into electronic images for retrieval and storage. Stacey Foster with Intellias and Kathleen Masteller with Denver Public School gave an overview of DPS’ Time and Attendance Module. The web time and attendance module that was developed by Intellias will allow the district to implement and automate the capturing of employee time worked and absences. The process is currently being done manually. To view products and demo of Intellias products, please go to www.intellias.net
