February 2005 Meeting Minutes

Deidra Walker welcomed the group to the Rocky Mountain Lawson User Group Meeting, which had 40 attendees.

The User Group Committee would like to thank Centura Health for providing the location and breakfast and Heritage Global Solutions for sponsoring lunch for our User Group Meeting. We want to say a special thanks to Heritage Global Solutions, Lawson and MHC for presenting and being involved with the Rocky Mountain User Group Meeting.

Toni Kennedy of Lawson Software gave the group a Lawson Update.  She talked about Lawson’s progress on the Manifesto initiative, Product Roadmap, GSC, Training,  Vertical and Product Features, Technology, Decommission Announcement and CUE 2005.

Toni also walked through the Global User Group survey - the attachment is worth a look, showing that Lawson is looking deeply into addressing customer concerns. The survey shows customer satisfaction levels with versions 8.0 and 8.1, MSPs, CTPs, Lawson support, GSC, interactive sessions, the Lawson web site, and so on. It's quite extensive.

Toni then went through the Global User Group Priorities, showing how the hierarchy works and questions and concerns are prioritized.

 

A presenter from Lawson Software gave an overview of ProcessFlow and Smart Notification.  He talked about the difference between standard and professional ProcessFlow, the pre-built flows that are given with process flow, free of charge.  He also demonstrated to the group how to build an actual ProcessFlow and use Smart Notification. 

 

Tim Salaver from Heritage Global Solutions gave an overview of Invoice Matching TIPS, Enhancement in 8.1 for Invoice Matching, the Match Processing and Setup, Common Reasons for unmatched invoices, System issues in 8.0.2, New rule in 8.0.3, The Reconciliation Process and Match Invoice Reconciliation.

Sherry Diedrich with MHC did an overview of W-2 Solutions from MHC Software. She talked about how their software integrates with Lawson application for the W-2 process. She gave a demonstration of their Document Express software works. She also talked about the New Electronic W-2 Distribution solution MHC is now offering and did a demonstration of the product.
