2nd Half 2004 Meeting Minutes

Deidra Walker welcomed the group to the Rocky Mountain Lawson User Group Meeting, which had 55 attendees.

The User Group Committee would like to thank The Bailey Company for providing the location and breakfast and to MHC for sponsoring lunch for our User Group Meeting. We want to say a special thanks to Intellias, Lawson and MHC for presenting and being involved with the Rocky Mountain User Group Meeting.

Toni Kennedy of Lawson Software gave the group a Lawson Update. She talked about “The Lawson Story”, Lawson’s manifesto initiatives, GSC, Training, Vertical Features and News, Decommission Announcement and CUE 2005.

Sherry Diedrich and Bob Conzemius of MHC were there to present an overview of the Electronic Fund Transfer Process. Sherry talked about why electronic payments are a smarter business strategy, the different payment technologies available, and the definition of EFT and its components. She also talked about the Automated Clearing House (ACH) and its different types, their file transmission and how MHC can help clients in that EFT process. She also talked about other MHC services that they provide to Lawson clients.

Stacie Foster of Intellias presented an overview of Streamlining Lawson Applications with Intellias Web Interfaces.  She talked about how their company helps Lawson clients be efficient in time entry with using multiple time entry forms as appose to single form entry that currently exist in Lawson , developed a method to automate payroll processing with a one web form instead of running multiple payroll jobs. She also did demos of some of the products Intellias developed for clients to streamline their Lawson application.

Diana Van Blaircom from Lawson presented an overview of Lawson’s Absence Management.  The presentation was done through a webcast. The Absence Management features are shown in these two PowePoint presentations:
