We want to say a special Thank you to
Paradigm, netASPx and Lawson for presenting
and being involved with the Rocky Mountain User Group Meeting.

Mike Justice from Lawson also stepped in to answer
questions and clarify several points about Lawson's intentions with the
various reporting options.
Paula
Cartwright, Lawson’s Manager of E-Training, updated the User Group members
on how to sign up for classes, how to request for additional classes to be
made available, and how to find where locations of classes are held. She did
this over the phone while we watched a simultaneous presentation over the web!

Lunch, provided by netASPx, was a wonderful
assortment of Deli meats and cheeses, along with chips and cookies.
Ron
Wright of netASPx presented Managing Your Lawson System, MSPs and CTPs. He
gave an overview of what CTPs and MSPs are, when and how often they are
released, the application maintenance, how to back out a CTP or MSP, and how
to handle program modifications. They are how patches are handled with the 8.0
applications. This turned into a heated discussion about patch management – we
all understand that patches are an unpleasant and required part of the
software business, but there is simply NO easy way to handle patches.

Chris
Fibbe with Paradigm Business Solutions presented Integration of Activity
Management with other Applications. Since we were at a school, Chris became
our teacher, and essentially gave us the Activity Management 101 class! He
gave an overview of Activity Management, a terminology breakdown, describe the
integration between Activity Management and different applications, and other
activity functionality.

Chris
Fibbe and Chris Macioszek with Paradigm Business Solution ended the User
Group meeting with a fun interactive game of Activity Management Jeopardy. We
divided the group in half and went to a head to head competition on what we
learned on Activity Management. The game started polite but ended with intense
competition.
During
the 2nd Quarter Rocky Mountain User Group Meeting we had prizes
provided by Paradigm and netASPx. A Bronco’s Hat and golf shirt was
given away by netASPx. If you stayed to the end of the meeting, Paradigm gave
all attendees Paradigm T-shirts. The big prize was a digital camera
provided by Paradigm Business Solutions.
We thank everyone for attending this ROMLUG meeting!
