Chris L’Archevesue from Centura Health gave an update on their upgrading to 8.0

Ø      Centura has made technical decisions on what environment they will use with the upgrade.  They will roll out with 7.3.3 environment and upgrade it after the upgrades in place.

Ø      Centura has also purchased a new production box to support their new Lawson application.

Ø      Centura has accomplished the evaluation of all of their modified programs and was able to eliminate 30% of them.

Ø      Centura has issues with the migrations tools from Lawson, rolling out LID to their users and providing a lab that their users can test their reports they created through their third party report-writing tool with the upgraded data.

Ø      Centura next steps will be to do a 2nd upgrade test, provide 2nd user training and address security changes.

Centura will continue to present their on-going story about upgrading to 8.0 at subsequent User Group Meetings. We can all improve our own processes and procedures by learning from their story!.
