1st Quarter of 2002 Meeting Minutes

Joyce Fell welcomed the group to the 1st quarter Rocky Mountain Lawson User Group Meeting, which had 35 attendees.

The User Group Committee would like to thank The Bailey Company for the location and providing breakfast and lunch for the 1^st Quarter User Group Meeting, Kitty Bronzinski for assisting in finding speakers for the meeting, and all the guest speakers who attended.

Kitty Bronzinski talked about Lawson Conference and User Exchange (CUE).

	It will be in San Antonio, Texas April 21-24, 2002

Paula Cartwright, Lawson Training Manager, presented Lawson’s Web-based Training Library and Lawson Learning.

Web-based Training Library provides a subscription service for clients to access all types of online education through Lawson. The library consists of Webcast that are live training events hosted over the web, recorded webcast, self-paced online tutorials and pre-recorded presentations.

Pricing for existing clients are available as a special promotion thru April 24, 2002 for $2,500.00 for a one-year subscription. New clients will have a standard price of $7,500.00 for a year’s subscription.

Lunch, provided by The Bailey consisted of an assortment of
Deli sandwiches, chips, salads, and cookies.

Emily Magill and Patrick Sullivan from Centura Health presented “Upgrading from 7.2.2 to 8.x.” Centura Health has a dedicated project team with core members from Materials Management, Financials, Human Resource and Payroll. Emily talked about Centura’s project planning surrounding the upgrade. Patrick Sullivan discussed the technical changes and differences with the upgrade.

Centura Health’s upgrade date is set for September 1, 2002.

Brian Roberts from Digiterra spoke with about Purging and Archiving. He talked about the Why and Why not’s of Purging and Archiving, Assessing needs, Reviewing of data, solutions, and Lawson’s purge programs.
